Balfour Declaration Centenary Campaign launched 2nd November 2016

On 2nd November 2016, the launch of the Balfour Declaration Centenary Campaign marked the beginning of a year-long project to demand that the UK:

  1. reject the Balfour Declaration including its role as an instrument of displacement and dispossession of the Palestinian people
  2. acknowledge their historic legal and moral responsibility for damages sustained as a result of the implementation of the Balfour Declaration
  3. institute reparations to the Palestinian people in accordance with the provisions and principles of international law, justice and equality which guarantee the right of return of all Palestinian refugees to their homeland, and their right to self determination
  4. issue, to the Arab Palestinian people, an official apology for Britain’s role in issuing the Balfour Declaration and making possible the displacement and dispossession of the Palestinian people
